Growing Avocado.


The time it takes for an avocado tree to be ready for harvest depends on the variety of avocado and the growing conditions. Some avocado varieties, such as Hass, take around 4 to 5 years to reach maturity and start producing fruit. Other varieties, such as Fuerte, can take up to 8 years before they start producing fruit.

Once an avocado tree reaches maturity, it can produce fruit several times a year. The exact number of harvests per year depends on the variety of avocado and the growing conditions.

Plan: Develop a business plan that includes financial projections, a marketing strategy, and a plan for sourcing avocados.


Obtain necessary permits and licenses: Check with your local government to find out what permits, and licenses are required to operate an avocado oil production business.


Sourcing avocado: Establish relationships with local avocado.


Equipment: Invest in the necessary equipment for processing and packaging the avocado oil.
